With a track record of excellence and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction, our shipping company has achieved remarkable milestones, establishing ourselves as a trusted leader in the industry.
Maersk Rainbow Container
In November 2021, VPV was chosen among hundreds of carriers to transport Maersk’s Rainbow Container from APM Terminals in Elizabeth, NJ to Macy’s Secaucus Distribution Center and Macy’s Retail Store in New York City. VPV Team Members and Colleagues from Macy’s Supply Chain and Macy’s Corporate gathered to sign the container where they wrote what Diversity and Inclusion means to them-with many being overwhelmed with emotions. Team Members stated they are grateful to work for companies who demonstrate acceptance of authenticity while also embracing their diversity.
Ice Road Truckers
In November of 2022, VPV Transport was the first North East Trucker to service Alaska! We partnered up with Burlington Development to assist in the transportation of special cargo for a University project. This project lasted an average of 6 weeks, in which team members were required to drive through freezing weather for long periods. The VPV team prepared for several weeks prior to the trip’s start, to ensure drivers stayed on their journey. They were provided equipment such as satellite phones, flash lights, and winter emergency gear among other things. They also were required to go through a severe weather driving training to provide them with all knowledge necessary to succeed on this journey.
Our shipping company takes pride in giving back to the community and has been recognized for our philanthropic efforts and charitable donations.
Over the past couple of years, VPV has helped ship containers full of clothing, school supplies, and medical equipment for lower income communities in Uruguay. VPV provides the trucking from warehouse pickup location to port, and serves as a storage facility for the accumulation and distribution of donations.
Moto For Peace
Moto For Peace is a European charity group made up of police officers from Italy, Spain, and Germany. The members of the group rode their motorcycles from Panama into the US, ending their trip at our facility in Kearny, NJ. During their journey, they raised over $30,000 for two orphanages. Upon their arrival to our facility, we contributed to their cause, by donating our services of loading up a container with their equipment and helping transport it into the port for its journey back to Europe. We also offered the entire group lunch and shared a wonderful afternoon listening to their stories and accomplishments for an amazing cause!
